Civil War Powder Keg $1200U.S.
In original old red paint, is stamped along edge of one of the end boards, but has some accumulation of old dried grundge and I didn't want to mess with it, for some collectors would rather clean items using their own methods. One similar to this in size and age, sold at Christies Auctions in New York. Although it did not appear to be in as good condition as mine, (in my opinion), as it looked like it had been cleaned, and the staves had openings between each other, but that one did have a paper label on one end depicting a hunting scene. It sold for $3290, plus at least a 10% buyers premium,,,so, I believe my price is very fair, considering all that.
